    Clayton and Samantha from JR Garage Door Services are absolutely awesome! The customer service was truly amazing from start to finish. I spoke with Samantha this morning, and she was so kind and helpful. Then Clayton came by this evening to look at our garage doors, explain everything clearly, and provide an estimate for all the needed repairs, adjustments, and even replacing the garage door openers. They are both incredibly sweet, professional, and knowledgeable, and they made the whole process easy and stress-free.     A plus service!! I called about JR Garage Door and Services on Saturday, Clayton came by to give an estimate early Sunday morning and returned again early Monday morning to do the job. I thought I was going to have to buy a whole new garage door system, but he repaired it in a couple hours max saving me a couple thousand dollars at the very least.     Awesome experience! The technician gave expert and quality advice regarding the issue. I initially thought it was a spring issue and would be spending $300 - 500 on repairs, but the technician quickly analyzed the issue and saved me a deal of money.     Had our recoil spring break on our garage in the middle of the week, found the company recommendation from a community facebook group and reached out to them. I wasn’t expecting them to be out to fix my garage door the same day and was already planning on not using the garage till the weekend. They were able to not only get me a quote within the first 15 minutes of reaching out to them, but Clayton showed up to my house and had my garage door fixed in under 2 hours from the time I reached out to the company. Clayton took the time to go over how to properly maintain the new springs, performed a safety inspection, and gave me some ideas on how to improve my mounts on the opener.     In a panic I contacted JR Garage Door & Services because my garage door would not close. The door was off track, a door guide rail bent, and one sensor cracked. Mr. Clayton instructed me over the phone how to close the door without the need for the sensors. He arrived at the scheduled time, fixed the problems, plus lubed the door hinges, instructed me on how to do the same, reattached loose wall control pads, and provided step by step instructions on setting up MyQ controls.     After calling a few places and receiving no callbacks to install a garage door opener, I decided to contact J&R via e-mail. Mr. Smith was extremely responsive (wrote back within an hour of my initial contact) and considerate of my time. Samantha was just as customer-oriented as Mr. Smith and I really appreciated her knowledge as to what kind of opener what be best for my home. They were very communicative also regarding the status of parts available and when they would be able to install the opener system -- we had a minor delay with getting parts and even though I was not in a rush to have the installation completed, Samantha did not want to keep me hanging on a string waiting to get the job done. I think the delay was 4(?) days, no biggie. Mr. Smith arrived and worked in a timely manner with no drama, explaining how the opener worked, safety precautions, etc. -- thank you.     So I call this guy clayton at 7pm because I needed my garage door fixed.Clayton showed up at 8:30pm and gave me a quote on the spot. Who does that? Seriously that was awesome.     Wonderful experience. Called JR Garage Door and Svcs to have two new garage doors installed in my new house in Upper Marlboro, and Samantha was great in explaining all options and possible discounts. Once we settled on a plan, Clayton was able to squeeze in my installation and did it very well and explained all the functionality to me, even made some very good suggestions (e.g., not to use LED bulbs next to the motor/antenna since they interfere with transmission from the remotes). One thing I would recommend if you're having new garage doors installed is to have at least 1-2 cans of WD40 handy since the new equipment will need to be well lubricated.     I went to JR GD&S website to fill out the Free Estimate request and I received a call from Samantha in less than an hour. She asked me about the details and asked for me to send pictures of the door and the broken spring to ensure they couldget the part and also to give an accurate quote. She called back with the quote but suggested I replace both springs due to the possibility the other spring could break. It was also cost effective to buy 2 vs 1. Clayton arrived on time, asked me a few questions about spring lubrication timeframes, and he started accessing the situation. He gave me two options: replace both springs or he could install one, heavy-duty spring with a higher open/close cycle rating than the two together. It was the same price but I went with the higher rating. He was done in about 1.5 hrs. He also stated that it carried a better warranty in which I will reach out soon to get some documentation for the work. This duo was great with professionalism and time management.     Call Clayton if you need garage door repairs. He is wonderful. The spring broke on one of the doors. I called him, explained what happened, and I sent him a video. He gave me a quote immediately and came on a Sunday to fix our garage door. He is so personable and offered tips on garage door maintenance to mitigate issues in the future.     Update 11/2019: So as people (read me) are wont to do, I procrastinated on setting up my wifi enabled garage door opener with the app. When I went to do it though, I realized my wall button wasn't the right type. I sent them an email (3 months after install), and they apologized and gave me a replacement. Came through to install it, and even waited to make sure I was able to set it up. 6 star service! Had an awesome experience with them getting a replacement door. I needed reframing on a nonstandard opening, and removal of the door from the 50s and replacement with an automatic system, and they came through. There were some scheduling issues along the way but they were very communicative (and very understanding when i once forgot about an appt). I was even given a credit for the reschedules. Awesome customer service. They quoted me the best rates out of anyone by the way! And they cleaned my gross garage floor for me. I was 110% impressed with their service and highly recommend them.     The spring on our garage door broke on a Thursday night. I made an appointment with a company I found through a Google search and made an appointment for them to come early on Friday morning. Unfortunately, the company I made the appointment with, broke their promise to come out at 6am to fix our issue. And after a few calls to them to get an update on the arrival of a technician, two hours past our scheduled time, I cancelled the appointment with them.     My experience with Clayton “Cliff” Smith of JR Garage Door & Services was Five Stars! No other way to describe it. My right-side garage door torsion spring had rusted and busted. I began searching online and I noticed how many friendly reviews were posted from genuine local customers living in my area. I noticed that a local exchange cell phone number was provided along with the two business numbers on the website. So I called it - and Cliff answered himself! As soon as I described my problem, he asked me to send him a phone pic of the door. 5 minutes later he had set up to be in my garage this afternoon and instantly quoted me the total price. The last place I had called was quoting me over $75 more, plus stated that the total price could be higher after completing the job. Their dispatcher was to call back - but never did. Mr. Smith showed up on time. In short, he had the entire job completed, adjusted, and all areas lubed - in a half hour or less. He also gave me pointers on maintenance and care before cleaning up to leave. Don’t waste your time hunting through Google for “the best” - that part has already been done for ya!
